Educational Technology in EFL Classroom

After I read about material meaning educational of
technology, I know that technology is not just planned outcomes a process not a
product. Even since 40.000 BC human kind start to use technology and it still
developed until know to help a lot of activities or task of human and make it
easier. Especially technology is important to education. Educational technology
is a field study which is concerned with the practice of using educational
methods and resources the ultimate goal of facilitating the learning process.
Technology education is very important in era modern. So, educational
technology can help a problem in teaching and learning. Educational technology
is making the learning process fun and more active, but educational technology
can be bad effect if used not good. So, we are as a teacher in the future must
be introduce educational technology as well as possible, so we can minimizw bad
effect in educational technology. Thank you.
Week 3
MALL and CALL

As far as I read, CALL as the search for and study of
applications of the computer in language teaching and learning. The advantages
from CALL are effective use of learning time and approciate learning style, but
have disadvantages too like economical factors and insufficient speaking
program. MALL is language learning thta is assisted or enchanced through the
use of a handheld mobile device. The advantages from MALL are learner driven
and centered, relatively cheap technology, portable, and fashionable, but have
disadvantages too. For example, if texting is imployed in the learning it can
become expensive for students and teachers. Tracking performance is another
issues, In a world evidence-based learning, it is difficult to monitor how
several students are doing on their phones to learn english. In addition, any
new approach to learning requires the training of the students to use new
tools. CALL and MALL can help teachers and students to learning process so
much. I think it is more like a software that can help students in learning
language. Thank you.

Impacts of Educational
Technologies

We are from group 6 would like to share our discussion
result about the impact of using technology in teaching english as a second
language based on the journal given by our lecturer. As it said from the paper,
that technology and language learning are related to each other. Also, many
studies found that most od students are bored in learning language by using
conventional method. Today, when the technology was introduced, most of
learners found it helpful in order to learn language, especially english. We
can see in our daily basis of learning language in a classroom, the media for
teaching learning process almost all use technology, such as PowerPoint and
Projector. And on the wider range, it has online sites or web sites to help
students learning language. So, the impact of technology in language learning
has more positive effect rather than negative. The data shows that more than
50% students give positive response to help of technology. For example, 98% of
students believe that using computer can improve their english vocabulary.
Finally, we conclude that the impact of technology has positive effect and
really helpful for learners.

Good morning, Last Monday, I’ve learnt about ACO
application. It is a learning english application for mobile who has presented
by Dilla and friend. After I try this application, it is so easy to learning
english. Unfortunately, ACO application is not focus to vocabulary. This
application is need internet connection, and can not be used at PC. I think
some contents of application are difficult for young learner. Overall, this
application can help so much to english learning. Thank you.

Here my reflection about website of learn english teens by
British Council.
I got knowledge from website about listening who has
presented by Acep and friends. That is so help to listen practice. It is free
and suitable too for teacher in level Junior High School and Senior High
School. But, I think that is more to testing listening the to teaching
listening. Because can be several level of practice. On that website, you can
choose the level what you want, and provided transcription. So, make the users
is easier to listening practice. On this websites, you can discuss with friends
in around the world. Unfortunatelly, this website have to connection to
internet and the materials is limited. Overall, after I know this website, I like
and it can help to teaching and learning for my students in the futur. Thank
you.

comp. Prev-GRE test” application for reading teaching. This application can
learn the essentials of reading comprehension, practice thousand of questions,
take test, review your performance and learn more about your strengths and
weaknesses. But unfortunately, design the application make me bored. Colorless,

Hello guys, I would like to share my reflection last meeting about
technology and teaching writing named JotterPad X who has presented by Group 7.
I think that application is so easy and practical to use. For example, when we
will wrire a novel, we just to choose format to novel, so the format will
changes to novel format, we dont need to editing. I cant found to ways to
teaching writing for students effectively. Thank you.
