Here are all my reflections during learning TELL 😊

Week 1 : Intro
Week 2 : Concept of Educational Technology in EFL Classroom 

Assalamualaikum, my name is Rahmadita Silvyani Tanjung. My NPM 162122071 😊

From the references I read, I've learnt that technology keep growing to evolve over time. From a thousand years ago or about 40,000 BC there have been forerunners of technology to communicate with others by using drawings they made on the walls of the cave that now can be called as art that studied by historians and scientists also.

I knew the technology keep growing progressively from the emergence of the abacus until now that we can see, we meet and we use such as laptops, PCs, smartphones, Projector, etc. Those are machine can help us and able to support all our activities especially in education. Although the technology itself has a positive and negative impact but with this progress I also feel the various easiness especially for the learning process. On the other hand technology is not just about software but one of our methods of teaching-learning.

Week 3 :  CALL, MALL, and LMS

I’d like to share what I have learnt about CALL, MALL, and LMS. What I knew about CALL is a method for learning language based in computer as a tools that can help to teaching-learning. Then MALL, for this method use a mobile phone as a tool to get any information, knowledge in any situation no matter where you are and when, and the last is LMS, this is kind of application that can help us to get any courses (I think like we use such e-learning), that can make us study easier and help us to get materials from the lecturer. CALL, MALL, and LMS such as technological advances in teaching-learning.

Week 4 :  Impacts of Educational Technologies 

We are from group 2 (Shofia, Rahmadita, Jihan, Yunita, Elma, Anita) will share about what we got and learnt from journal last week. The impact of using technology for learning for develop listening comprehension, enrich vocabulary, increase skill to use any application such as visual/video, sound, graphic and animation. From there, student can take advantages and benefits of the technology that uses for study English Language Learning. Thank you.

Week 5 : Technology for Teaching Vocabulary

Last meeting we got information about application that can help learner to learn vocabulary called Learning English from ACO which has been presented by group 1. That application was good for learning English because the features not only about vocabulary but also listening, speaking, and translating, that can help us to improve our skill, but the application not really appropriate to use for young learner and also use in the class because the picture that shown is not interesting and some picture are inappropriate for children to see that, and because that application is use internet so the problem will be on the signal.

Week 7 : Technology for Teaching Grammar

Actually this part is presented by my group. We are presented some applications that can help student to learn grammar that's called Marbel belajar grammar. From the name of the application seems to be interesting but actually is not interesting at all. This application really boring for me because there are so many text, there's no picture or something challenging and interesting. The advantages from this application is using bahasa, so it can help student to understand about the materials.

Week 9 : Technology for Teaching Listening

Hello everyone, I'd like to share what I've got from the last meeting about learning english teens by the website British council.

that website is really good for learning listening and I think it's quite fun because there's a levels, kind of questioners, and we can discussed with others from around the world and then we can download or save the audio from the website. That website is appropriate to use teaching listening for students in the classroom but if we want to access that website we need an internet connection.

Week 11 : Technology for Teaching Reading

Last meeting is presentation for teaching application from group 4, that is Prep-GRE test. I think the application is really good for teaching reading, there has so many topics to read and then has time keeper or timer to help us as a reader to measure the speed in reading, this application doesn't need internet connection but beside of that the application is not interesting at all and the application are not suitable for students in middle and high school and then the presenters is good enough. Thank you

Week 12 : Technology for Teaching Writing

Good morning everyone, here I’d like to share my reflection about application for teaching writing in the last meeting. The last group are presented about the application named Jotterpad. That is application for writing. It is close to Ms. Word but the coolest things in that application is about the features of its self. The systematics or formats in that application can be changed into the others such as poem, lyrics, story and others. So, it can help the writer and make easier to write there, and then that application is not using any internet connection.

Final Project : Micro Teaching

For this final project I used application Kepham for teaching-learning Pronunciation.
