Week 3
I want tell what I read about "CALL and MALL". CALL ( Computer Assited Language Learning ) is succinctly defined in a seminal work by Levy (1997: p. 1) as "the search for and study of applications of the computer in language teaching and learning". And then MALL ( Mobile Assited Language Learning ) is language learning that is assisted or enhanced through the use of a handheld mobile device.
One
of the most obvious advantages of MALL approaches is the mobility.
Students can study anytime and anywhere since they normally keep their
cellphones with them. This leads to a second advantage of informal
learning. Informal learning is unstructured learning while formal
learning materials developed and by the teacher. Not always but often
MALL approaches involve the use of materials that are not prepared by
the teacher and thus are informal. There are also some problems with MALL. For example, if texting is
employed in the learning it can become expensive for students and
teachers. Tracking performance is another issue. In a world of
evidence-based learning, it is difficult to monitor how several dozen
students are doing on their phones to learn English. In addition, any
new approach to learning requires the training of the students to
utilize new tools.see from advantages and disavtanges of CALL and MALL however we as teacher or student should be able use it well.
We learning about "Learning Vocabulary by using application" in the last meeting and the group 1 give chance for presentation about it. The group 1 chosen application called "ACO". I think this application is good but I also agree what my friend said when we were discussion in the class. The ACO application is not efficient for classroom learning process because there are some vulgar images and it's not suitable for education. Especially on signal problems , not all classes or student have good connection and that can interfere with the learning process.

Today
in the class TELL , I learn to help how teach grammar. This class use
application called marble. I think this application is simple so that
easy to use and suitable for all class. And I like this application
because marble not use data connection
Week 9
I will share what the group 5 presented about "British Council " at the last meeting. British council is a website for listening skill , its famous website. That website is appropriate for students in the classroom.

This my reflection about " PREP -Gre test " ( teaching reading ) who presented by Group 4. This application is good because there are advantages. The advantages from this application is can remind us time to read and also can be used when offline.But I dont like the design this application , its less interesting, less colourful and getting bored.

wr wb . Here I would share what I have got in last meeting. The group 7
presentation for teaching writing and used application called
jotterpad. Jotterpad is application to write this application is not
suitable for teaching because I confused how the teacher to applying
this application in the clasroom. But this application easy to use.
