Week 2 Concept of Educational Technology in EFL
Classroom
My
reflection after I read material last 2nd week about educational techology from
the history, meaning, until the use for education activity, I get some new fact
and experience about that. I think technology have similar meaning from the
other on the material gave last night. So with my conclusion based on
comprehension technology for education is really complex, so many ideas,
identity, and can organize for the analyze and problem solving about education.
Technology can help for the student and of course for the teacher to make
simple way to learn in class room or even out class room. With technology we
can't know what is drawing, printing, music, even we don't know what is
computer with the biggest company from microsoft, dell, apple, and etc. But
technology is not just machine, because all of them is a part of educational
techonolgy and support us for teaching learning process as English Department
this century. We can see from the history from 40.000 BC until now. And of
course educational technology is really important, helping, and usefull.
Because we can't life without techonolgy form this century.

Week 3 CALL, MALL, and LMS
After
I read again and again to make me feel enjoy for challenge about CALL, MALL,
and LMS I feel so sad right know. Why I feel sad? Because we lived in 21
century but we don't know one by one for what we lived with new technology
system without use it for learning and study for every time. We just always
read whatsapp, facebook, make instastory, upload a picture to instagram than we
use it for easy way to access journal, news, materials, and even for search
kind of research.
MALL,
CALL, LMS makes me feel about how to use
it for my century when I teach a student and learn together with new
technology. It's new challenge for me because as I know one of them really
usefull for learning in classroom or some times outclassroom. We can use
computer, smartphone, drone, camera, action cam, or something new technology to
make new generation of student with new skill about language, art, teaching, or
etc. I hope I can do it and make fun, enjoy, effective, understand, and not
GAPTEK in activity for my class sometimes.
And I must ready about advantages or disadvantages from my activity as a
teacher.
Week 4 Impacts of Educational Technology
We are from group 5. We will
share about what we got from the last meeting. Based on journals we had read,
technology in general using by adults, children for daily activities like
social networking, communication, and games. The general impact are more
engaged often retain more information, and provides meaningful learning
experiences.
Using technology in learning
process gives many advantages. Many studies have already proven it. The
advantages are students more engage, students have more motivation, more
confidence, make collaboration, more fun, etc.
One of technology that can be
used in learning process is computer assisted language learning (CALL). Some
studies prove CALL will be effective for learning, because, through computer,
students can learn from visual media supported pf vocabulary acquisition,
reading comprehension, and the use of online communication tools which improve
writing skills.
On the other hand, people have to aware for the other aspects. Learning
with technology isn’t only learn with CALL but also there’re some aspects have
to support, such as internet connection and teachers who have abilities to use
the systems.
Week 5
Technology for Teaching Vocabulary
What
I've learn last meeting from Group 1 presentation about Teaching Vocabulary by
using Technology they use "Learning English from ACO" I think is new
types for learning. But it can't really usefull if it use not in the good time
to learn vocabulary and also for young kids in elementary is not really
suggest. Because in the case there are some words and not general for kids. I
think it must suggest to use for high school. And also is very important for
making new vocabulary in our knowledge.

Week 7 Technology
for Teaching Grammar
The application that presented
was “Marbel” (Mari Belajar). The
features there is using Bahasa Indonesia.
The application just give theory not
example. I think when the presentation I feel this application not suitable for
teaching, because it’s just give theory and not example what the student need
to understand.
Week 9 Technology for Teaching Listening
Hello,
I am Andi the member of group last meeting. After I presentation in the class
last meeting I have many ways to help when we in the listening classroom. We
group presented a website from http://learningenglishteens.britishcouncil.org.
Why we choose the website? Because by using website it is very simple ways to
study in listening classroom activity. That website appropriate for teenager
learner (junior and senior high school). Many features offer in the website and
help the learner if they can't understand. We can download the audio, exercise,
and many appropriate practice with different level as we can do that.
Especially when I present in the class, the audience very focus and I see
understand what I and my friend's group present the website. And also Mrs. Eva
said to us the different when teaching listening and testing listening. I
learned from that something new for me to be better when teaching and learning
process, how to make the student interest the technology we offer in study, and
how to teach the student if they have many questions about the technology or
application for teaching learning process we have and offer it. Thank you very
much to Mrs. Eva and all my friend's TELL B class, because without your
attention and question or feedback our presentation can't effective.

Week 11 Technology for Teaching Reading
Last
Meeting is presentation for teaching reading application. The application is
"Prep-GRE® Test". I see the advantages and disadvantages about it.
One of the advantages it's can work offline, and the disadvantages if we want
to upgrade, we must pay it. After the presentation and I try the application, I
think it's very simple and easy application for reading. There are many
features to help and how we can understand our reading skill. Like duration,
question, and the reminder when we must read. And the presentation from
Nandang's Group very good and understand to get the point.

Week 12
Technology for Teaching Writing
Hello
guys, this is my reflection last meeting about techology for teaching writing.
JotterPad X is a application for text editor. The application I just found some
features to edit text like font, paragraph, etc. Also they explain the editor
for novel, poem, essay, etc. But this application I think not really different
with majority use Microsoft Word.
