What
I've learnt from the materials is the importance of technology in our daily
life is undeniable. Why? Because due
to the fact that today, life without technology is meaningless. if we throwback
to the past, technology has been used at 40.000 Bc but it still simple
technology.
But
Over the last few decades, technology has made immense changes to human life.
We are literally going through another revolution: the digital revolution.
It
is slowly yet steadily, revamping our education system which seems to be stuck
a few hundred years in the past.
While
the Factory Method made ‘learning’ synonymous to ‘boring’, But
now Education with technology is making the learning process fun and even
addictive.

Week 3 : CALL and MALL

From the
materials I've learnt. Call, Mall and LMS are kind of technology that use to
help teachers and students to upgrade their language learning process. They
help the instructor deliver material to the student, administer test and other
assignment, track student progress and manage record-keeping. I just know many
advantages from Call Mall and LMS. But it's also have a deficiency like some
disadvantages. So I have to use that technology wisely in order to make my
learning process Fun, More Effective,
Efficient and Even Addictive...
Week 4 : Impacts of
Educational Technologies
I'm group 4 will share about our result discussion about last
meeting based on journal given by Mrs.

As we know that technology plays an important role in today’s human
society development. Technology and English language education are related to
each other (Singhal, 1997). It means we should use technology in language
learning process. We can use any different approaches and techniques which can
assist English language students to improve their learning skills. Such as for
listening we can use computer as education tools, listen to tv, cd players or
tape recorder. And for reading we can use computer, use any multimedia
software, and so on. For speaking we can use internet voice chatting and for
writing we can use internet text chatting or writing email. So many various of
technology and application that support us to be used for education. For doing
such tasks, they are in need of using various tools which can help them learn
the language easily and effectively.

Technology for Teaching Vocabulary

Last meeting is interesting class because I got information about
application that can help not only student but EFL learners to learn
vocabulary. The application called Learning English with ACO which has been
presented by Group 1. The app is good, its features not only about learn
vocabulary but also about speaking, listening, and translating. It's really can
help EFL learners to improve their skills. But the weakness of this app are
it's serve a picture that forbid for young learner and this app need internet
connection.. So the certain problem when we use this app is the signal. It's
better if this app is offline...

application is thid app is good. But if the learner use this app to learn about
grammar is really boring. Because the content full of material. There’s no
features that can makes entertain the learners. For example the test with game.

Honestly,
last meeting I didn't come to the class because I come late about 25 minutes
but what I got from my friend about last meeting is about the website that can
help us to practice our listening skill. The website is British Council.
When
I access that website and try to do the
task in that website.. it's really interesting. I can choose the level that I
want. Then I can download the material from this website and I think this
website suitable for junior and senior high school.. by the way the problem
from this website if our connection is bad it will be disturb our practice...
and if we don't have an internet connection we can't practice in this website.

Last
meeting, my group and I have presented about Reading Comp. Prep- Gre ®Test
application for improve our reading skill.. This is application is good enough
because it has some interesting feature like there are the duration to know our
reading speed, the questions, and the reminder if we want to make an alarm for
our reading schedule..
But
this app has bored design.. Because it's only dark and light theme. But
if we want to apply the light theme we have to upgrade this app it's about Rp
13000;
And
after I think twice, this app can be used by college students than junior and
senior high school because the passages it has difficult vocabulary to
understand.
Week 12 : Technology for Teaching
Writing
I
would like to share my opinion about the application that presented by group 7
named Jotterpad. Same with the other, I think this application has function
like Ms. Word but the differences this app with Ms. Word is this app has format
to make a poetry, lyrics and also short story. I like this application because
this application not difficult.. We can used this app easly..
