From what I've read about the history of educational technology, I learned that technology has improved a lot from what it was be. It helped us a lot, and has played an important role in education. Through the improvement of technology, we now able to use technology as one of the media for facilitate educational learning. We can maximize it potential and use it for teaching and learning process. With technology, we can access and get more information way more easily and practically. We can also make our time more effecient by it.
Even so, if we didn’t use it wisely, the technology itself will backfire as a bad outcome. Of course it will help us a lot, but we still have to select which one is the good one, or how to make it as positively useful as possible. What I meant by positively useful is using the technology as one of a way for increasing our knowledge, not use it for something that can make us got distracted from what the technology should be used for.

What I’ve learnt from the third week materials are;
Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is the computer applications that can be used for language teaching and learning process. It can be anything as long as it can support for language teaching and kearning process (but it has to be computer based). Good for individual learning, and the learners will be able to get materials that they couldn’t be reach in real life.
Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) is almost same as CALL, but instead of using computer, MALL using mobile technology such as smartphone. This type is even more practical because it can be access more easily than CALL. Using our smartphone, we can access is everywhere and everytime we want to.
Learning Management System (LMS) can be define as a program or web that can be used spefically for the teacher and the student (in this case, for language learning process). There are plenty of LMS that we all already use without we realized it. Such as Edmodo and E-learning.

In last meeting, the 1st group presented about ACO application. I wanted to try the apps but I couldn't download it because of the internet connection. So I joined my friends and try it on my friend's phone. We discussed about the app weakness and strengths. Overall, the apps is quite interesting, even though I still found it confusing and I still don't understand how the apps worked. But I think it is suitable for teaching-learning process in class. It's portable and easy to use or access.

To be honest, last meeting I didn't join the class because my body isn't in a good condition and I decided to rest at home:") Im so sorry mam... But I do check the site and listen to the audio sent into WA chatroom.
I think this website is a really good website to learn. We can choose the level as we want, and the provided materials also varriative and related to everyday activity. We can access the web on pc or phone using internet connection.
But the teaching learning process might be hard because; first, it's in british accent and most of the students aren't familiar with british accent. Second, it require a class with internet connection. This one is the harder one, because we all know how's the condition here in Tasikmalaya especially.
I think we as a teacher can't really teach student using this website in class, but we can use this website for student's practice at home. Thank you

Last meeting another group(group 4) also presented an app named "Reading comp. Prep-GRE® test" for reading skill. I think the app is applicable for teaching in the classroom because its simple and pratical. The app also have timer on the right corner so we will know how long we've spent our time reading the article. After we finished, there will be questions to test our comprehension about the article we've red. Buuuttt, the articles itself are too long, and it contains lots of difficult words for JHS or HS student. The student probably will lost focus or interest to the article because of this. I think that's all, thank you.

Last meeting, group 7 presented about teaching-writing application named Jotterpad. For me, this app isn't suitable for teaching-writing. This app is more suitable for those who like to write stories, not learning how to write. There is no steps or guide on how to write, it's almost like Ms. Word but the difference is when we choose one type (novel, poetry, etc) this app will automatically organised the font size or even the type of font type for you, so you can write it without worrying about the font type or font size
But that's all.
The interesting thing about this app is the practical features, but even the practical feature isn't really useful either since the format cannot be changed into docx.
